Seminar week 4

Have you witnessed plagiarism? What would you do if you wrote a paper and someone printed it as their own? Would you be mad? How would you solve this problem?
Personally I think that anyone who uses someones else's work is just to lazy to research the work for themself. They want all the glory and they don't want to do any of the work related to the fame.
Let's all do our part to keep this a safe school and enviroment for us to learn.
Wow that sounds corny huh? Oh well.

  1. Hello how is it going, what do you think about class so far. Plagiarism is a big factor in this day and time. I do agree with you as well the people that copy someone esle work word from word is lazy and just dont want to do the research or take the time to read and look everything up.

  2. Hi Lashika, I like this class a lot however I am not very good at writing. I don't usually put my thoughts and ideas to paper. I'm a very private person, for the most part. I am coming out a bit more since facebook, but try to only put appropriate information out there.
Plagiarism is a big deal however, even when friends post quotes on fb they give credit. Nice and important knowledge to have.

  3. Ande,

I always give credit, even if it is just for Facebook or any social network. I agree with you in that it is just plain laziness that leads people to plagiarize. Some people have a hard time thinking for themselves, and we certainly don't want to be seen as one of those people. I can certainly think for myself, and I know that it would bother me extremely that someone use my ideas and not acknowledge me. I can perfectly understand the importance of avoiding plagiarism and giving due credit to the people whose ideas we borrow.
